Brian Bauer, Managing Partner
Brian Bauer mentors successful businesses through their awkward adolescence. He has built a reputation as a valued leader for companies at inflection points, using his experience in mergers and acquisitions, product development, business process and human capital management to propel high growth businesses to reach their potential.
He is currently a Principal at 100Waters Group, a startup and small business collective formed to help business owners scale great concepts.In addition to his work with the 100 Waters Portfolio of companies, he serves as an adviser to numerous startups in the Chicago entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is currently the Director of the Chicago Startup Leadership Program, a nationally ranked initiative that provides education and community to first time entrepreneurs. He recently joined the team as the Chicago leader for Venwise, a private community for high growth executives.
Previously, he was the Vice President of Operations and Client Services at Cellit, where he played the role of internal mobile stakeholder for numerous Fortune 500 companies and nationally recognized brands. Prior to that, he served as Vice President & General Manager of Barrington Interactive, a self-sufficient technology, content and sales division, with a focus on hyper-local news and information.
Bauer has consulted with Chelsey Broadcasting Corporation, Sagamore Hill Broadcasting and ABG Entertainment on marketing, strategic business and programming acquisition projects. He previously consulted on non-traditional revenue initiatives with Broadcast Interactive Media, a provider of complete web solutions to both television and radio broadcast clients across the country. He was a student of Robert Pitman, whom he worked with at Pilot Group LLC. He is a frequent guest speaker with the Booth School of Business.
He holds an Executive MBA at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and a B.S. in Business Administration from Truman State University. He runs triathlons and is addicted to Diet Coke.
